LWC Member Spotlight: Brenda French

Occupation: Senior Member Services Coordinator at   TCIA; Owner, French Firewood Sales & Property Maintenance; Independent Sales Rep – AVON; and   wife, mother, sister, step-mother, grandmother,   step-grandmother, daughter, aunt, friend, cousin, etc.

How long have you been an LWC member?  Not exactly sure when I joined, late ’90’s or ’00?

What activities have you been involved with as  a member? Co-Chair, Membership, Adopt A Highway, Blood Drive, Easter Bunny Breakfast& Santa’s   Workshop, June Dinner Chair.

What do you look forward to each year and why?  The Membership Drive Meeting..that is always fun!

Name a guilty pleasure that you love.  Lounging in the pool, listening to country music on a nice summer day.

You have a full day just for you – what would you do? Stay in my lounge wear, take naps, catch up on DVR list…do you see a pattern here of lounging? …only because my life is so hectic working full-time, running an AVON business and Firewood/Property Maintenance business. Now I have a grandson and love spending time with him!

LWC Does PINK in the RINK Again This Year!

It’s PINK IN THE RINK once again, and LWC members, their friends and family are invited to join in the fun!

The Monarchs Care Foundation and Catholic Medical Center are teaming up for Pink in the Rink, and invite the public to join them on Saturday, February 11 for this special Monarchs hockey game which will raise awareness and benefit the fight against Breast Cancer through the Monarchs Care Foundation, Norris Cotton Cancer Center and the Breast Care Center at Catholic Medical Center.

The ice is literally turned pink and the entire team wears bright pink hockey gear that evening. Everyone is encouraged to wear pink to show their support, too. It’s a fun night of Monarchs hockey and the cost is $22 per ticket. Jean White is heading up this outing. You must contact Jean prior to January 20 if you would like tickets. Email her at for additional details.
