New Year Kicks Off for LWC

It’s a new year for the Litchfield Women’s Club and women of all ages and interests in the community are invited to come to the club’s annual membership drive open house event on Tuesday, September 11 for a wine and fondue evening. The fun begins at 7 p.m. at the clubhouse at Stage Crossing, which is located directly behind Aaron Cutler Memorial Library in Litchfield.

Co-presidents Jean White and Pamme Boutselis will lead a brief, informal meeting and offer an overview of the club and its upcoming calendar of events for 2012-2013. The club’s major focus is on community, scholarship and friendship, and upcoming activities include a Ladies Night Out to Florence’s Restaurant in Merrimack, the annual Red Cross Blood Drive, the annual fall roadside cleanup, Santa’s Workshop holiday breakfast and much more in 2013. There’s plenty of opportunity to get involved and bring new ideas to the table as well, yet no pressure to do more than one is interested in.

The Litchfield Women’s Club is a nonprofit community service organization, which has been in existence in its current format in Litchfield since 1988. The club meets on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, September through June at 7 pm. Most general meetings are held at the Litchfield Middle School library with the exception of the annual membership drive event, the club’s holiday party in December and June dinner. Stay abreast of LWC activities and events by ‘liking’ the Litchfield Women’s Club on Facebook, following the club on Twitter or its blog, For additional information, contact

Women with an interest in learning more are welcome to visit any LWC membership meeting, and are invited to bring along a friend when they do!
